Ingredients

  • pork - from 28 oz (800 g) to 32 oz (900 g) without bones
  • wheat - 1/2 cup and grits
  • beans - 2/3 cup
  • corn - 2/3 cup
  • mushrooms - 7 oz (200 g) to 11 oz (300 g)
  • carrots - 2
  • potatoes - 3 - 4
  • onions - 1 large head
  • savory - 1 tsp dry
  • mint - dried, to taste
  • honey garlic - dried, to taste
  • salt - to taste
  • pepper - to taste
  • oil - 1/5 cup (60 ml)

How to make

Cut the pork in larger pieces. In a large saucepan, heat the oil and fry the meat until it gets a nice tan. Remove it and in the same oil add onion and, large pieces of chopped carrots and large pieces of sliced mushrooms.

Leave to get lightly braised and return the meat. Add peas, corn and add hot water so that it covers the products, it should be 1-2 fingers above them.

Leave it to simmer on a medium heated stove until the meat is soft. Add the wheat and peeled and chopped potatoes and boil finished.
