Nothing compares to the aroma of freshly baked soda bread. Its preparation is mandatory in every home on holidays such as Christmas Eve and often on weekdays.
There are many different recipes for soda bread and how to make it. It is not difficult to make even for beginners in the kitchen and requires few products.
It may be more of a challenge for someone to bake it properly. When done well, the bread should be crispy on top and soft on the inside.
As a rule, pastry products and in particular different types of bread are baked in a preheated oven at about 320-340°F (160-170°C) below the middle position of the grill.
The baking time should not be less than 30-40 minutes. Check it every 15 minutes. If you see that the top of the soda bread is starting to burn, cover it with foil or white baking paper, so that it bakes evenly.
Do not turn on the fan, because you risk your soda bread becoming too dry.
The baked soda bread has a golden color. You should take it out and sprinkle it with a little cold water and cover it with a kitchen towel to rest.
This way, the soda bread will be steamed and the crust will soften slightly.
