Melting the chocolate is not an easy task, especially when you are about to do it for the first time. It is very important when preparing it to make sure the chocolate being melted at the right temperature, because of the cocoa butter it contains.
The first step in the process of melting chocolate is to break it into pieces. Then place them in a fireproof dish, which you will dip in another container filled with boiling water, and carefully melt it, while making sure that the temperature of the chocolate does not exceed 140°F (60 degrees), because it will get lumpy.
The chocolate can also be easily and quickly melted in the microwave by placing it in a suitable container and leaving it in for a few minutes on low power, while making sure you stir it well every minute.
To get the perfect chocolate glaze, the melted chocolate must be tempered at a maximum of 90°F (32 degrees). This can be done with the help of a marble slab or by adding extra chocolate to the mixture.
