Almost every household has a microwave – an appliance that’s a real favorite. But besides rapid warming and thawing, the microwave oven can also cook. Here are some ideas:
Another idea is whole roasted potatoes with salt and cheese. Wash several smaller potatoes. With the peels on, place them in a bowl with plenty of salt. Poke them with a fork and bake for about ten minutes in the microwave, while exposing both sides. After removing them, peel and cut them in half. Put cheese on top and bake some more.
Clay pot dish in the microwave
In a pot, put tomato sauce and crumbled feta cheese. Place in the microwave for five minutes with the lid on. Add chopped sausage, seasoning to taste and 1-2 eggs. Poke with a fork. Bake, but without the lid. You can add boiled potatoes and roasted peppers.
Broccoli in the microwave
Broccoli, so beneficial and healthy, can be easily cooked in the microwave. All you have to add is butter and spices.
Eggs in the microwave
For one serving : Fill a porcelain bowl halfway with water and two tablespoons of vinegar. Heat for 2 minutes in the microwave at maximum power, the water should come to a boil during that time. The bowl is removed and three beaten eggs are added, then put back in for 5-6 minutes at 50% power. Meanwhile, crush 2-3 cloves of garlic. Add 3-4 spoons of yoghurt and 2.5 oz (65 g) of crumbled feta cheese to them. Place in a serving dish. In a glass mix 1 spoon of butter or olive oil and a pinch of paprika (so as not to fry the butter in a pan). It should also be put in the microwave for a couple of minutes.
The eggs are removed and placed on top of the feta cheese with the garlic and yoghurt. Top with the mixture from the cup.
Steamed mushrooms in the microwave
Products Required : 3.5 oz mushrooms, lemon juice, 4/5 cup of rice, 2 tbsp of butter, spices
Spray the cleaned and washed mushrooms with lemon juice, put a little butter on and keep covered for 2 minutes at 600 watts. Pour them on the bottom of the pan, add the rice and pour in 2 cups of water. Put a lid on and leave for 5 minutes at 600 W. Turn down to 180 W and leave for 20 minutes without stirring. Finally, add the remaining butter and spices.
Cake in the microwave
Products Required : 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 2/5 cup walnuts, 1 tablespoon rum, 4 eggs, 1/2 packet of baking powder, 5.5 oz marzipan, oil for the form, flour for the form
In a porcelain bowl, mix the softened butter, flour, sugar, 3 1/3 tbsp of the ground walnuts, the rum, eggs and baking powder. Mix well with a mixer to form a smooth dough. Put it in a buttered and coated with flour cake form. Leave for 9 minutes at 600 W. Allow to cool slightly and turn. The marzipan melts in 1 and 1/2 minutes at 600 W. The cake is covered with it. Garnish with whole walnuts.
Stuffed peppers in the microwave
Products Required : 2 red peppers, 2 carrots, 1/3 cup rice, 10 peanuts, 1 tablespoon of rosemary, oil
The pedicles of the peppers are cut off and the seeds are removed. Rinse and dry. Peel the carrots and grate coarsely. Mix with the boiled rice, chopped peanuts, rosemary and oil. The mixture is stuffed into the peppers. Insert the cut off pedicles and leave for 5 minutes at 600 W.
Cooking in the microwave is a pleasant and easy task that anyone can handle. Provided there is willingness and a little free time.
