Necessary ingredients: 2 carrots, 1 onion, salt and black pepper by taste.

The carrots are cut into thin wide strips lengthwise, then each strip is split diagonally into several pieces. Cut the onion into thick crescents.

Fry the onion until it changes its color to transparent. Add the carrots and fry them, while stirring constantly, until they have softened slightly. They shouldn't be too soft. Salt them, sprinkle them with black pepper and serve them with roasted meat.

Necessary products: half a cauliflower, 0.9 lb (400 g) carrots, 9 oz (250 g) spinach, 4 tablespoons cream, 3 tbsp. shredded yellow cheese.

The cauliflower is torn into smaller pieces, the carrots are peeled and cut into thin sticks. Wash the spinach and dry it. Boil the carrots for three minutes in boiling salted water.

Add the cauliflower and boil it for another 5 minutes until the vegetables have softened. Add the spinach and after three minutes remove them from the heat and strain them.

Grease a fireproof glass pan, spread the vegetables in it, pour the cream and sprinkle them with yellow cheese.
