Here are some great recipes to make your Saturday breakfast delicious and memorable.

French toast with jam - a classic of the genre, but the sought after yummy effect is always achieved on Saturday mornings.

Fried bread


3-4 eggs, 4/5 cup of milk, vanilla essence, oil for frying, jam (your choice of flavor), a few slices of older bread

Method of preparation:

In a dish, vigorously beat the eggs, milk and vanilla, then dip the slices in the mixture on both sides. In heated oil, fry them on both sides. If the bread becomes too greasy, blot the excess oil as you leave them on paper towels for a bit. Serve them with jam and enjoy.

Muesli with honey and dried fruits



2 teaspoons of honey, 1/5 cup of muesli of your choice, 1 small banana, 2/3 cup of milk, 1 tbsp of raisins, 2 dried peaches or apricots

Method of preparation:

On low heat melt 1 teaspoon of honey, add the muesli and leave it for a few minutes on the stove, while stirring continuously. Then leave to cool. Cut the banana into small pieces. In a suitable bowl, mix the milk with banana, muesli and the remaining honey. Top with raisins and other chopped fruits.

Donuts with sour cream



1 cup sugar, 3/4 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon of yoghurt, 3 eggs, 2 lb of flour, powdered sugar

Method of preparation:

Mix the cream and sugar. In a separate container, whisk the eggs and then add them in. Add the yoghurt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix thoroughly and add the flour. Knead until you get a soft dough. Roll out the dough on a floured surface - with a thickness of about 0.5″ (1 centimeter). Using a glass, cut out circles and fry them in hot oil. Once sprinkled with powdered sugar, you can serve them and enjoy!

Egg pancakes with cheddar

- 2 eggs

- cheddar cheese

- 4 cherry tomatoes

Method of preparation:

In a dish, whisk the eggs and pour them in a pre-heated Teflon pan. Bake on both sides until it's ready. While the pancake is still warm, place the pieces of cheddar and sliced in half cherry tomatoes. Turn the pancake into a roll and serve it.
