Homemade cake has its charm. Made with love from Mom, it can cause a furor, especially when it comes to children's birthdays and parties. But it is not necessary to wait for another birthday to please our loved ones. We can make a cake at home at every opportunity. Here is a great recipe for easy homemade cake.

Ingredients for the layers: 5 eggs, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar.

Ingredients for the cream: 4 egg yolks, 2 packs of vanilla, 3 tablespoons of flour, 4 1/5 cups (1 liter) of milk and 1/2 cup of sugar.

Ingredients for decoration: 4 egg whites, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 pack of vanilla, compote or fresh milk for the syrup.

Preparation:

First, you should start with the layers. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and add half the sugar to the egg whites and half - to the yolks. Then beat them into snow separately using a mixer.

Then you have to mix the contents of both bowls and stir it with a wooden spoon. Add pre-sifted flour to the mix and bake it in a preheated oven at 356°F (180 °C). The cooled cake layer is cut into two parts.

Next is the preparation of the cream. Boil the milk with half the sugar. The other half is beaten with the egg yolks. Add the vanilla and flour while continuing to stir, until it’s a homogenous mixture. This mixture should be added to the boiling milk and then wait until it thickens. Throughout the entire time, never stop stirring.

We are almost done. For the preparation of the glaze, it is only necessary to beat the egg whites, to which you have added sugar and vanilla, into a thick snow. Then begin to "assemble" the cake. We place the first cake layer and soak it with the compote syrup.

Pour the cream on it and cover with the second half of the layers. Again add syrup. Finally, cover the cake with icing, and decorate with grated chocolate or multi-colored sprinkles.

The cake is allowed to stand in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours, after which it can be enjoyed.
