Let us present you with 3 refreshing ideas for potato salad that you can make for any holiday. The first one might surprise you with its combination of potatoes, tomatoes and basil, but the taste is truly remarkable and will be to your liking. Here it is:

Potato salad with tomatoes

Ingredients: 4 potatoes, 3 tomatoes, 1 onion head, garlic, basil, black pepper, salt, oil.

Preparation: Peel the potatoes and put them in a pot with water to boil, along with 1 spoon of oil, a pinch of salt and a garlic clove. Meanwhile, finely chop the tomatoes, use a garlic press to crush a few cloves of garlic.

Once the potatoes are boiled, mash them and once cool, add the tomatoes and garlic, as well as the finely chopped onion.

Delicious potato salad

Season the salad with salt if necessary, black pepper, oil, basil. If you are a fan of spicy food, you can add a crushed, dried chili pepper.

Our next proposal is a bit more expensive, for in order to prepare it you will need smoked salmon. First, dice 14 oz of potatoes and fry them thoroughly in a saucepan with oil.

Place half of a very finely diced cucumber in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds to the potatoes that are still on the stove, stir, pour 3 teaspoons of wine vinegar on top, season with ground white pepper and salt.

Remove the salad from the stove and pour it into the cucumber - stir well and add about 3 oz of smoked salmon. Finally, chop up half a bunch of dill (it's best not to put the stems in the salad). Toss the salad and serve. If you do not like salmon, substitute it with smoked ham.

Potato salad with apples

Our last proposal is a bit unusual, since the salad includes sour apples. Here's what else you will need:

Ingredients: 3 potatoes, 3 sour apples, 1/2 head of celery, 1 onion head, 1 tsp tomato paste, 1 tsp mustard, 2/3 cup mayonnaise, salt, vinegar, sugar.

Preparation: First boil the potatoes, then peel them and cut them into slices. It's best to use smaller potatoes.

Add the 3 diced apples to them. Sprinkle sugar, salt and vinegar to taste and leave the vegetables for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Drain out the liquid that has formed, then add in the finely grated celery head, mustard, tomato paste, mayonnaise and grated onion. Stir well and serve.
