Sesame seeds are one of those spices that have multiple uses. They can be added successfully not only to appetizers and main dishes, but also to desserts. They go well with meat, fish, fowl, fruits, vegetables and most of all - bakery goods. Sesame seeds provide a uniqueness to the ingredients, along with a one-of-a-kind flavor. Here you will find a few ideas for appetizing crackers with sesame seeds.

French crackers with sesame

Ingredients: 2/3 cup flour, 2/3 cup butter cubes, 5.5 oz feta cheese, 1 egg yolk, sesame seeds for sprinkling.

Preparation: Grate the feta cheese in a bowl and add the flour to it. Stir well with your fingers and add the butter. Knead well until you get large crumbs. Add in the egg yolk also and knead for about a minute until you get a dough. Cover with foil and leave in the refrigerator.

Sesame crackers

While the dough is rising, prepare a few large baking dishes. Lay out baking paper in them, heat the oven to 392°F (200° C).

Take the dough out from the fridge and spread it out on a smooth floured surface, to a thickness of about 1/16". Cut out crackers using a shape, form or glass with thin walls. Arrange them in the dishes, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake. Make a dough of the leftovers and cutouts, wrap it in foil and store in the refrigerator until the others are ready and it's time to use it.

Bake the crackers for about 20 min. Once they are ready, wait for them to cool, then carefully remove them from the dish.

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 1 cup oil, 2 cups milk, 1 1/3 tsp dried yeast, 1 tsp salt, flour (as needed for a soft dough), sesame seeds, 7 oz feta cheese, dill.

Preparation: Set aside one egg yolk. Mix the rest of the products well and make a dough, then put it in the fridge. Once it's ready, remove it and make balls the size of a walnut from it. Place a stuffing of feta cheese and dill in each one.

To do this: roll out each ball into a circle, making a slight incision in the middle. Place the stuffing and bring both ends together. Put the crackers to rise once more. Arrange them in a baking dish, smear them with egg yolk and sprinkle with white or black sesame seeds. Put in the oven and bake at 356°F (180° C) for about 15 min.

Crackers with sesame and curry

Ingredients: 2/3 cup flour, 2/3 cup butter, 1 egg yolk, 5.5 oz cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, 1 pinch of curry, 1 pinch of powdered garlic, rosemary.

Preparation: In a bowl, combine the flour, cottage cheese, butter, egg yolk, powdered garlic and curry. Knead a soft dough, roll it out onto a flat, floured surface.

From it, cut out circles using cookie shapes. Sprinkle the crackers with sesame and put them in a greased tray. Bake for 20 min. at 392°F (200° C). Once they are ready, you can sprinkle them with rosemary.
