Divide the phyllo pastry sheets into 3, the mixture made from the other ingredients (stirred together) into 2. Put 1 part of the sheets in an oiled tray.
Pour 1/2 the mixture over the sheets. Repeat in this order, finishing off with sheets.
Cut the whole thing on top and pour on the melted butter. Put in the oven and bake until ready.
Make the syrup, pour it over the hot phyllo pastry once it's cooled or vice versa.
Leave overnight in the fridge and then consume.
