Extinguish the baking soda in the yoghurt. Beat the eggs to foam with the sugar until fully dissolved.
Pour into a buttered and floured form. Place the pitted sour cherries. Bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven about 50 min. until ready. Check with a toothpick.
Leave the cake to cook and serve it sprinkled with powdered sugar or glaze.
