  • water - 1 2/5 cups (350 g) cool
  • yeast - 1 packet, dry
  • sugar - 1 tsp (full)
  • salt - 1 tsp (or 1 tbsp if you like it saltier)
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)


In a bowl, pour a little of the cool water, the sugar, yeast and 1 tbsp flour. Leave it to activate in a warm area.

Sift the flour, pour in the salt and knead a dough with the rest of the products. Cover the dough with a towel and leave in a warm area to rise.

Cover 2 trays with baking paper, form 2 bread loaves from the dough, make 3 cuts onto each loaf with a knife. Optionally, shape them into long or oval pieces.

Leave them to rise again, smear with a little oil and bake in a preheated 338°F (170 °C) oven about 35-40 min.
