Clean and wash the ears, put them to boil for no more than 30 min. They don't need to be fully boiled but if you like them softer, do boil until fully cooked. Take them out and drain, cut them into strips.
Pour this sweet-and-sour sauce over the ear strips and stir well. Leave them as is for 2 hours or so, while stirring occasionally.
After they've seasoned well in the sauce, you can consume them right away or fry or bake - however you prefer them.
