Remove the stems of the cherries and wash them. Remove the pits, pour the water over them and put on the stove to boil.
Leave them to boil as is until the fruits soften.
Once ready, strain them through a gauze. To the fruit syrup add the sugar and return to the stove.
Stir until the sugar dissolves. Let boil for 4-5 min.
Finally add the citric acid.
Distribute the syrup into jars.
