Mash the biscuits to crumbs, add the melted butter to them. Stir well and lay out along the bottom of a container.
The choice is yours - you can use a tray (round or rectangular), or jars, or glasses, whatever you decide. In the past I've prepared it whole, in a rectangular tray and in bowls too.
Whatever you choose, pour it into the container and leave in the fridge. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream cheese and sugar. Stir slowly with a mixer on the lowest setting.
Pour the ready cream over the biscuit layer, distribute it evenly and return to fridge for 2 hours.
Finally, cover with jam of your choice and return to fridge for a final 3-4 hours.
