Beat all the products together, adding them sequentially in the order listed and stir well. Pour the mixture into a cake form, either covered with paper baking or pre-buttered and floured.

Bake in a moderate oven until ready, and finally check with a toothpick to see if it's ready. Once the cake layer has cooled, smear it with dark marmalade or jam.

Let the cake sit overnight before you cut it into slices.
