Ingredients

  • lamb - 2.2 lb (1 kg), you may use lean pork, veal, or beef
  • oil - 4 - 5 tbsp
  • cream - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • mushrooms - 7 oz (200 g) to 10.6 oz (300 g)
  • onions - 1 - 2 head
  • lemons - 1 + juice
  • pepper - to taste
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • savory - 1 to 2 tsp
  • thyme - 1 tsp dry
  • salt
  • soup - vegetable

How to cook

Cut the meat into small pieces of equal size. Stew in oil and some water together with the finely chopped onions.

Add mushrooms, pepper, salt, savory, thyme and lemon slices. Pour over the hot vegetable broth or water to cover, add the lemon juice and beaten cream.

Stew on very low heat in a tightly closed container, in the oven.
