Clean the figs from the stems. Put the sugar and water in a pot on the stove to come to a boil.

Add the figs and boil to the needed thickness. To check for it, pour a drop of it onto a plate - it must not run.

Finally, add the citric acid and stir well. Distribute into dry jars, close with a cap and turn upside down until cooled.
