Beat the butter into foam. Add the sugar and eggs one at a time. Sprinkle with grated lemon peel. Add flour which has been mixed with the ammonia soda.

Knead dough. Roll it into a sheet 1 cm thick.

Shape the biscuits and cut it into desirable shapes. Smear with an egg, sprinkle with sugar and bake in a moderate oven.
