Soak the beans a night in advance in cold water. The next day, boil it in new water and discard it. Put it to boil again, with 3 tablespoons oil, the chopped carrots, chopped onion and garlic, dried whole peppers and a chili pepper.
Once it's been boiling a bit, add the crushed pepper and other spices (except the paprika) together with salt to taste.
Transfer the beans to a clay pot and mix in the tomato paste and paprika. Put the lid on and bake in the oven for 2 hours on medium heat.
