Ingredients

  • carrots - 18 oz (500 g)
  • sugar - 2 cups (500 g)
  • essence - 12 drops of orange
  • powdered sugar - for rolling
  • coconut flakes - for rolling

How to cook

Grate the washed carrots on a fine grater. Put them in a container on the stove to boil with all the sugar.

Stir until you obtain a thick paste-like dough. Remove from heat and let cool, then mix in the essence. Shape small balls by hand. Roll these carrot candies in powdered sugar and coconut flakes.
