How to cook
Open the puff pastry sheet and gently roll it out thinly. Sprinkle with plenty of chopped walnuts and sugar and spice mix. Roll very tightly lengthwise. Cut the rolls into small rings. Arrange them in an oven dish with baking paper, some distance apart from one another.
Put them to bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven until ready and let them cool. Put the water and sugar for the syrup to boil for 5-6 minutes. Afterwards, take it off from the heat, mix in the lemon juice and zest.
Allow the syrup to cool completely. Arrange the cooled snails in a suitable container and pour the cold syrup on. After about 1 night, they are ready for consumption.
