Pour hot water in a pot to boil it faster, add a little salt to it. Once it's boiling, pour in the macaroni and boil until fully cooked.
Once boiled, cool with cold water and strain.
Beat the eggs with the sugar, milk and vanilla. Stir everything well and add the now cooled macaroni to the mixture.
Pour mixture into a tray and place the hard butter on top. Put to bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven about 20-30 min. until the macaroni redden.
If you like you can take the tray out during baking and sprinkle with a few tbsp sugar, return to the oven to caramelize.
