Ingredients

  • sugar - 1 cup
  • water - 1 cup hot
  • jam - 8 oz (220 g) of cherries or morello cherries
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • flour - 2 cups
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • nuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • cinnamon - 1
  • cocoa - 2 tablespoons
  • dark chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • liquid cream - 1/3 cup (80 ml) fresh

Preparation

Boil the water with the sugar. Add the jam, oil, flour with baking soda, cinnamon and coarsely chopped nuts. Mix everything very well with the cocoa.

Pour into a baking dish and bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until ready.

Once the cake is slightly cooled, pour melted chocolate and cream or chocolate couverture over it.
