How to make
In a pot or kettle pour in the water, add the sugar and heat to boiling. Boil about 10 minutes, while removing the foam.
Add the yellow part of the rind of 1 lemon, boil for 1 more minute and remove from the heat. Remove the rind and add the wine, heat again to boiling point and remove.
Add the rum or cognac and lemon juice. Pour into preheated punch cups. Serve hot.
