Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the chopped onion and whole garlic briefly. Then add the peas, broccoli florets and add 8 1/3 cups (2 liters) hot water.
Allow the soup to boil on the stove on medium, until the vegetables soften. At the end, add the seasonings and remove from the heat.
Puree the soup directly into the pot and stir it with the cream to homogeneity. Serve this pea cream soup with broccoli and croutons.
