How to cook
Sift the flour with baking powder, add sugar, butter, milk, eggs, and mix well by hand, until you get a homogeneous mixture. Preheat plenty of oil in a large, deep skillet.
With a damp or oily teaspoon, form balls of dough and drop them to fry in oil. Once they're ready, they'll swell and float up to the top.
Remove them with a slotted spoon onto a cooking grid. When they cool down, pour a hot sugar or honey syrup over the loukoumades. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar and cinnamon, or with ground walnuts if desired.
