Ingredients

  • beans - 14 oz (400 g) canned, white
  • water - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml.)
  • vegetable stock - 1 cube
  • tomatoes - 14 oz (400 g) mashed
  • tuna - 7 oz (200 g) canned in olive oil
  • onions - 2 heads
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • olive oil - 4 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • paprika - or spicy cayenne pepper if desired
  • basil - fresh, optional
  • black pepper - ground

Preparation

In a pot, fry the finely chopped onions and pressed garlic until the onion softens. Add the smashed tomatoes, water and crumbled vegetable stock cube. Add the drained and rinsed with water beans, the mashed tuna, finely chopped basil, cayenne pepper and 1 tsp sugar.

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a minimum. Leave for 10 minutes, then remove the soup from the heat. Optionally, garnish with garlic croutons and torn basil leaves.find similar recipes here
