How to cook
To make the sauce, heat the oil, add the onion and fry it for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the seeds from the peppers and cut them into pieces.
Put them in the onion, along with the chilli pepper, apple cider vinegar, sugar and 2 tablespoons water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, allow the mixture to cool and add the chopped gherkins and salt. Preheat a very strong grill.
Brush the steaks with oil and place them on the grill, cook 5-7 minutes /medium-roasted meat/ by turning once. You can bake them over quite a long time. Season to taste and serve with the sauce.
