Dissolve yeast in some warm water with a pinch of sugar. Sift the flour twice and in a well in middle add salt and olive oil. Slowly add the yeast and knead smooth dough. Cover it and let it rest for 40-50 minutes in a warm place.

The dough is rolled into a sheet. Spread the top with tomato paste, spread thinly sliced salami and top with onion rings, tomatoes, peppers and a few other vegetables of your choice.

Sprinkle with a trickle of olive oil, salt and basil and bake in a moderate oven until you get a nice tan. If you want to, at the end of the baking, sprinkle it with 3.5 oz (100 g) of grated cheese and bake until it melts.

Optionally, you can prepare this pizza vegetarian style- with no sausage.
