"We`ve been saving the last jar of plum marmalade for this roll - try it and you`ll see what the fuss is about."

Ingredients

  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 8 tablespoons
  • flour - 8 tablespoons
  • marmalade - 1 small jar, plums (whatever kind you have)
  • chocolate - 1, small
  • oil

How to cook

In a large bowl, set aside the egg whites, and the yolks in a cup. Beat the egg whites with a mixer with the sugar until they become snow-like and then add the egg yolks until thickened.

Add the flour and stir. Grease a tray with oil, put paper (newspaper) in it and pour the mixture in. Once baked, invert the layer onto a new sheet of paper, smear with marmalade and wrap into a roll.

Leave it to cool a little, wrapped in the paper. You can pour on melted chocolate for decoration.
