How to cook

Sift the flour with baking powder. In the middle of it, make a well. Drop in the egg yolks (we will need the whites later). Add 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest, oil, milk and sugar.

You should get a medium hard smooth dough. The dough is rolled immediately into a crust of 0.2″ (0.5 cm) thickness. It is cut into shapes as desired.

Beat two egg whites to stiff snow. Mix them with the slightly warmed apricot jam. This mixture is used to glaze the cut dough forms. On top, sprinkle with finely ground walnuts.

The finished cookies are arranged in a baking dish, the bottom of which is covered with baking paper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180 °C). After removal, sprinkle with vanilla sugar.
