  • for the layers
  • powdered sugar - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • eggs - 6
  • chocolate - 1.5 oz (50 g) grated
  • walnuts - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • vanilla - 2 packs
  • flour - 1 tablespoon
  • for the filling
  • walnuts - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • vanilla sugar - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • milk - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • butter - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • sugar - 2/5 cup (100 g)


Make the cake layers as follows. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Whisk the yolks into foam with the powdered sugar, and beat the whites into hard snow.

To the beaten egg yolks, add the crushed walnuts, grated chocolate, vanilla and flour. Very carefully add in the beaten into snow egg whites. Pour this mixture into a baking form, the bottom of which you've covered with rice paper.

Bake the layer in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven until ready. Leave it to cool and then cut it into 2 or 3 parts horizontally. Proceed to prepare the filling.

First dissolve the vanilla sugar in the milk. Pour it over the chopped walnuts. Boil the mixture briefly and leave it to cool.

Beat the butter with the granulated sugar. While stirring continuously, pour it in to the walnut mixture. Smear the layers with it. Decorate with liquid chocolate, chocolate sprinkles, walnuts or coconut flakes if desired.
