Neck Chops Over Mushrooms
- pork chops - 4 neck steaks
- mushrooms - 2 lb (1 kg) oyster mushrooms, king mushrooms, borowik or others
- onions - 2 heads
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- dill - 1 bunch
- mushroom broth - 1 cube
- vegetable oil - 1 cup
- butter - 1/5 cup (60 g)
- salt - to taste
Season the lightly beaten chops to taste on each side with salt and pepper and brush with vegetable oil. Leave in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to season. Meanwhile, clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices and the onion - finely.
In a deep skillet, preferably in a wok, put some of the remaining oil, sauté the onions first, add the mushrooms and crush the mushroom broth. Allow them to sauté on low heat for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, grill the steaks as desired. In the pan in which the mushrooms are cooking, an aromatic sauce will form, season it with butter, the remaining pepper and dill. Add 1 cup hot water, stir well and place each grilled steak on top of the cooked mushrooms.
Without stirring, arrange the steaks next to each other or on top of one another. Close with a lid and simmer softly for about 15 minutes. When serving, pour the delicious mushroom sauce over the steaks.
You can serve it with a fresh salad or sautéed vegetables.
