"Tender and juicy pork steaks baked in beer with thyme and oregano"

Ingredients

  • pork loins - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • dried thyme - 1 tsp
  • oregano - dried 1 tsp
  • onions - 2 oz (50 g)
  • garlic - 0.5 oz (10 g)
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • dark beer - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • black pepper

How to cook

Trim the meat of fat and shape it. Combine the salt and powdered thyme and oregano. Rub the spices into the meat. Fry the meat on all sides in the hot oil.

Place it in a pan and in a separate pan, stew the finely chopped onion and garlic cloves. Once stewed, add the beer and sugar. Boil the mixture and pour it over the meat in the other pan.

Bake the meat in a moderate oven about 90 minutes. Cut into slices for serving and serve them warm.
