Wash the cabbage and cut it. In a large pot, heat the oil and fry the chopped onions. Add the chopped tomatoes, diced carrots and cabbage.
Cover it and leave to stew until tender, occasionally stirring. Once the cabbage is soft, add black pepper, savory and paprika. Put it in a greased oven dish and spread the chicken out. Top with 1/2 cup water and put to bake in a moderate oven until the meat is tender.
Optionally, serve the dish with chopped parsley.
