Ingredients

  • chickpeas - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • carrots - 4 medium
  • peppers - 2 green, maybe red
  • onions - 4 medium heads
  • olive oil
  • black pepper - 1 pinch
  • cumin - 2 pinches ground
  • spearmint - 2 - 3 pinches of dried
  • lemon juice - from 1/2 lemon
  • dill - 1/2 bunch
  • garlic - 2 small heads

How to cook

Soak the chickpeas overnight, if using dry ones. When fresh, this is not necessary. Boil the chickpeas in salted water for 10-15 minutes.

Change out the water and boil them again in salted water. Cut the vegetables finely and sauté them in a little olive oil and the water from the broth of the chickpeas.

To the sauteed vegetables, add the cooked and drained chickpeas, add the spices, chopped garlic and lemon juice. Boil until some of the water evaporates.
