How to cook
Sift the flour with the baking powder. Mix the dry ingredients together and mix them with the mayonnaise and water. Stir until the mixture becomes homogeneous and add the vanilla. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured baking form and put it to bake for about 25 minutes in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven.
Check its readiness with a toothpick– the cake needs to remain juicy and not dry. Prepare the glaze by melting chocolate or couverture chocolate in a water bath and add the oil. Mix until you get a smooth blend.
Leave the baked cake to cool slightly, then put it in a tray and pour the glaze over it once it has cooled completely.
