"A quick, tasty, easy and traditional Bulgarian breakfast"

Ingredients

  • yogurt - 1 cup
  • baking soda - 1 tsp, for bread
  • eggs - 2 - 3
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 cups (700 g)
  • jam - optional

How to cook

Mix the slightly warmed yogurt with the baking soda. Add the remaining ingredients, knead everything quickly and leave it for a while.

To have the cakes become chewy and fluffy, you mustn't knead it too much. Shape the cakes and fry them in very hot oil.

Serve with the jam of your choice.
