Ingredients

  • pork - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • rice wine - 2 tablespoons
  • eggs - 1 large, whipped
  • corn starch - 6 tablespoons
  • green onions - 3 bunches
  • bamboo - 3.5 oz (100 g) canned bamboo tips
  • peppers - 1 green
  • cashews - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g) optional
  • sea salt - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic - 2 cloves, finely chopped
  • for the sauce
  • brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • oil - 1 tablespoons, or olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar - 3 tablespoons
  • starch - 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste

How to cook

Cut the pork into pieces. Whip the egg well and add the salt and wine. Roll the meat pieces in the mixture, then in the starch. Fry the pork in very hot oil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the meat and let it drain. Pour out the majority of the oil from the pan, to only have about 2 tablespoons left. Sauté the chopped onion, green pepper, garlic, cashews and bamboo tips in it. Allow it to fry for about 3 minutes, add the meat and stir.

To prepare the sweet and sour sauce, mix all the ingredients for it and put them to cook on the stove for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour the prepared sauce over the pork and stew it on the stove for a few more minutes.
