Dissolve the gelatin in water according to package directions. In the meantime, boil the milk with the cream, sweeten it with sugar and then add the vanilla. Remove from the heat and mix the gelatin in to dissolve, but make sure the mixture isn't too hot.
Allow the milk mixture to cool, but not to harden. Cut your favorite fruits into pieces and mix them into the cooled mixture. Transfer it to a large cake form or numerous smaller molds.
Put it in the fridge to solidify for a few hours. Before serving, immerse it in hot water for a few seconds and invert it over into a tray or dish. Enjoy!
