Ingredients

  • for the layers
  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • sugar - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • chocolate - 4.5 oz (125 g)
  • eggs - 4 egg whites + 4 egg yolks
  • for the cream
  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • chocolate - 4.5 oz (125 g)
  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g) well - beaten
  • almonds - 2/3 cup (150 g), peeled, roasted and chopped

Preparation

For the layers, beat the butter and sugar first and add the cooled, melted chocolate. Stir with a wooden spoon and add the egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each.

Finally, mix it with the beaten to snow egg whites. Divide the mixture into 3 equal parts and bake each separately in a tray laid out with baking paper, or greased and lightly floured.

Stick the cooled layers together with the cream, which is made as follows: beat the eggs with the sugar in a pot in a water bath on the stove on low temperature. Remove when you get a light and smooth cream and mix with the melted chocolate and butter.

Decorate the cake with almonds, you can sprinkle them between the layers also.
