Ingredients

  • catfish - 3.5 lb (1.5 kg)
  • white wine - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • parsley - 1/2 bunch, fresh
  • oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • black pepper - ground, to taste
  • lemons - juice of 2 lemons

How to cook

Clean and cut the catfish into portions. Season it well with salt and pepper to taste and soak it in freshly squeezed lemon juice. Transfer it to a glass cook pot with a lid and then pour on the white wine over it.

Put the fish, covered, in the refrigerator to sit for 1-2 hours. Then transfer the fish to a tray, thoroughly smear it with oil and sprinkle it with pieces of chopped garlic. Bake in a preheated 356°F (180 °C) oven until tender.

Serve with lemon, chopped fresh parsley and mashed potatoes. Optionally, add spices to your liking during baking.
