How to cook
If the calamari are frozen, leave them to defrost. Pour hot water over them, leave them for about 1 minute. Take them out and strain them.
Clean the calamari from the skin, which is on the outside and the remains on the inside. Cut the calamari tubes into circles according to size you would like them to be.
Roll them in the spices (if desired, you can add other spices), leave them for about 10 minutes.
During this time, beat the egg whites until you get a foamy mixture and add a pinch of salt. Roll the slices in flour, then in the egg whites mixture.
Put the calamari slices in the air fryer. Adjust to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes, depending on how crispy you want them. Fry the calamari twice and stir them.
