How to cook
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Melt the honey and butter in a pan on the stove and add the baking soda to them. Stir vigorously until the mixture gets a slightly caramel color. Remove them from the heat and while stirring continuously, add the egg mixture and vanilla.
Gradually add the flour and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Allow to rest for 1 hour, covered with foil. Then spread out the dough and roll it out into 6 equal layers. Bake each of them for 4-5 minutes in a preheated 392°F (200 °C) oven in a baking dish, covered with baking paper.
Cool them on a cooking grid and carefully remove them from the paper. Even out the sides of the layers to form the same diameter. Beat the butter with the condensed milk and add the orange zest to make the cream. Assemble the cake layers using this cream and also spread it over the entire cake.
Make a decoration for this honey cake with finely ground walnuts.
