How to cook

Pour the rum over the raisins. Peel the apples, clean them and cut them into small cubes. To these, add the walnuts, sugar, flavored raisins, cinnamon. Mix.

In a buttered rectangular tray, arrange 4 phyllo pastry sheets, smear each one with melted butter and arrange half of the filling on top. Cover with another 4 sheets, each of which you've also coated with melted butter, distribute the remaining filling over them and cover with the 4 remaining sheets, coated with melted butter.

With a knife, cut square pieces to allow the baklava to breathe. Bake in a preheated 320°F (160 °C) oven for 30 minutes. Pour the water into a pot, add honey, allow it to come to a boil and pour this hot syrup over the baklava.
