Separate the yolks from the whites of the eggs. Beat the egg yolks with the oil and the cool water.
Mix carefully and gradually mix the rest in. Pour the sponge cake mixture into a buttered and floured cake form. Cut the Turkish delight into pieces, roll them in flour or fine breadcrumbs and sprinkle them on the sponge cake.
Put it to bake in a preheated 338°F (170 °C) oven, with the fan on for about 40 minutes. Finally, check its readiness with a toothpick.
Allow the Sponge Cake with Turkish delight cool and invert it onto a tray. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar if desired and serve.
