How to cook
A loose bottom pan is greased with oil on its bottom and sides.
Sprinkle the bottom of it with 3 tbsp. of sugar.
Cut the two oranges into circles, remove the peel and arrange the pieces on top of the sugar.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a mixer until they foam up. Add the sugar and beat until you get a smooth mixture. Add the oil, orange essence and orange juice. Stir everything.
Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and add it to the mixture. Stir until a smooth mixture, without any lumps, is obtained.
Pour the mixture into the pan over the oranges and bake for 30-40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 ° C.
Check with a toothpick, to see if it is fully baked on the inside.
When it is ready and it has cooled down, turn it over on a plate so that the oranges are on top to get the effect of the orange cake.
If desired, this aromatic pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
