  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • butter - 1 cup (250 g)
  • eggs - 2 + 1 to spread
  • milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • yeast - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g), fresh
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • feta cheese - for the filling
  • sausages - for the filling
  • sesame seeds - for sprinkling


Heat a little milk and dissolve the yeast in it. Add the sugar, 2 eggs and salt. Stir well, start adding portions of flour and knead into a soft, elastic dough. Leave the dough covered with a towel in a dish for 15 minutes.

Then divide it into 8 balls and roll each one out into a thin circle. Cut out 8 triangles as if cutting a cake. Fill each with a little crumbled feta cheese or finely chopped sausage (or other stuffing, if desired) and roll them into scones. Arrange them in a buttered tray close together and leave in a warm place to rise.

Brush the risen scones with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Distribute the butter on top and put them to bake in a preheated 374°F (190 °C) oven. Cover the baked scones immediately with a towel to smother and for the butter to get soaked up well.find similar recipes here
