Mix the flour, butter and 1/2 of the brown sugar into a homogeneous mixture. Put all of this on the bottom of a baking dish and press with your fingers as far down as it can go. Put it to bake in a preheated 392°F (200 °C) oven until light golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
Beat the cream cheese, white sugar and rind of 1 orange (grated) with a mixer. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes, add half a cup of the brown sugar to them. Once you have removed the baking dish, put the cream cheese blend on the layer and then the apples on top. Put it in the oven for another 15 minutes.
Serve it cut into small pieces with whipped cream on top, if desired.
